Flowers - Health Benefits

Image
In researching flowers we have come across these articles. They show and state health benefits that flowers can provide for us. Here are the articles that we found... This one  talks about a couple health benefits of certain flowers/plants and even about gardening. This one  talks about research done in Japan about reducing chronic stress. As we find more articles we will add them here. The photo is of flowers from our yard.

Dinner - Porcupines

Image
One of everyone’s favorite dinners is Porcupines. It’s an easy dinner to make and is delicious. Here is the recipe: 1 lb. Ground Beef 3/4 cup Uncooked Rice 2 8 oz. cans of Tomato Sauce 1 Egg 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 1 tbsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Ground Pepper Water Soak rice in hot water for 5-7 minutes. Drain. Add ground beef, egg, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Mix well. Shape into balls. Place in hot sauce pan and brown. Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and the water. We add enough water so the meat balls are almost covered. Swirl sauce pan to mix all together. Place lid and simmer 30-40 minutes (until most of the water is cooked out and the sauce is thick). We serve these with homemade dinner rolls. Here are some pictures: Brown them: After simmering. The sauce is thickened and most of the water has cooked down. Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and water. Serve with dinner rolls. Add ground beef, egg, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the rice after it ha
