This Is Us

Last year Nick and I made it to the Temple every month, until everything shut down. Then because of everything going on and Nick being out of town so much, we weren’t able to go until last night. It was so wonderful to be back in the Temple. For me there is always peace in the Temple. I always feel loved, welcome, home, and closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus. I feel like they are sitting right next to me, and that is so comforting! I love being able to go with Nick and feel that eternal connection with him. We aren’t much of selfie takers, put I did get a couple pictures of the temple. Temples are so beautiful!

On May 27th Brichette graduated from Seminary! Yay! Great Job sweetheart! Thanks for listening to us and taking seminary. We know the experiences you had there will help you through your whole life! We love you!

Every year since The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints started #lighttheworld we’ve participated in it. It helps us remember what this season is about, The birth of our Savior and eldest brother Jesus Christ. It helps us share the light of Jesus. It helps our Christmas Season be more. Here is what the calendar looks like: It’s been a rough year! It’s been a challenging year! But no matter what’s gone on this year, I hope that whatever you do this Christmas, you are able to see the Light of Christ and share it with someone. We all need more light, especially this year!

  In our daily scripture reading we came across this scripture: There are lots and lots of powerful scriptures, but at this time this scripture really stuck out to me. Let’s break it down some... “If all men (meaning everyone) had been, and were, and ever would be (so everyone from the time Adam and Eve left the garden to the time Jesus comes again), like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken FOREVER (I capitalized this); yea, the devil (satan) would NEVER (I capitalized this) have power (so he can’t persuade, influence, seduce, etc.) over the hearts of the children of men (everyone on earth). WOW!!! Can you imagine this? How wonderful would that be? Think of all the love, caring, help, ministering, charity, kindness, peace, etc. there would be in the world!!! No one thinking they were better than anyone else. No violence, rage, anger, hatred, cruelty, etc.  So please, as you go about your days, weeks, months, years, think about this scripture! Th...

On my way to drop Brichette off at school today the car in front of me had some bumper stickers about Jesus Christ. At the red light I took the opportunity to read them. I can't really remember all of them, because there was on in particular that stood out to me. It said "Jesus died for you, so that he wouldn't have to be without you!" How cool is that? I love it. I was thinking about those bumper stickers on her car which reminded me of a joke. There is this lady in a mini van just driving down the road, when a car pulls out of a parking lot cutting her off. She starts yelling and screaming at him... swearing up a storm, honking the horn, and flipping him off. Then she hears a police siren, looks in her rear view mirror and see the flashing lights. So she pulls over. He asks her to Please step out of the car. He has her put her hands above her head and slowly walk backwards to his car. He handcuffs her, and takes her to jail.
