This Is Us

  This year for Valentine's I used our xo waffle maker for breakfast and for the kid's lunches.  I also got some valentine's snacks to put in their lunches. Our Relief Society had a luncheon.  I went and picked up JoElla (we are in the same ward now) and we went to it.  It was so much fun and I really enjoy spending time with JoElla.  Lydia and Tyler were out early, so JoElla came with me to pick them up.  Then we took her home. Before I left for the luncheon, I picked up donuts from Krispie Kreme and I set up the table with valentine's decorations. For dinner I made heart shaped pasta and tried to shape the porcupines into hearts.  Which sort of worked. I turned on our lights and fireplace and lit candles.  After dinner Zain and Lydia had Young Men's and Young Women's activities. So Tyler and I just watched shows and I cleaned up from dinner. After Zain and Lydia got home we watched Madly Madagascar. It was a good day! 

  I love to “dress up” for the holidays. So this year Nic bought me this Valentine’s Shirt. He bought me these shoes a couple months ago.

  We don’t usually buy more than a card for each other for Valentine’s. Except this year we decided to. Nick bought us these red and black bracelets and got me a couple other things. I bought us these sun and moon bracelets that connect to an app and we can send vibrations and color patterns to let the other know we love them, miss them, etc. It’s really fun!! We don’t usually buy much for Valentine’s, just do a red and pink heart themed dinner. This year we made cupcakes, bought Krispie Kreme donuts, candy dots, Dieter and Colleen made us cookies, and I made heart shaped quesadillas for dinner. We also bought each of our kids a mini M&M’s tube. We also turned our lights under the cabinets pink, red, and purple, and ate by candlelight! The candle is from my friend Susie  Farm and Hive   I bought the black chargers/plates awhile ago from Target. I also bought the paper plates and napkins from Target. The plastic table cloths are from Walmart. I bought pink and red rectangle ones. Then trimmed them to fit the table and counter. With the leftovers I cut hearts out and just laid them on top. I think they turned out so cute!

  My nails for January lasted from January 6th to today!  The post is  Here  for my nails. I love painting my nails, creating new designs, having them feel fresh, but it also makes me happy to have them last longer, since I'm busy and hate taking the time to paint them.  It almost feels like I'm wasting time, but I know it's important for me to do this for myself. 😁 I used a light pink, white, sparkles, and magenta color.  I made lines and a tiny heart on my ring fingers with this  Nail Tool . I painted the magenta on two of my fingers and then painted the sparkles on my middle finger.  I painted the light pink on my thumb and pinky.  I used this  Stencil Set to make the bows and hearts on my thumb.  Then I painted the glossy top coat on my thumb, middle, and ring finger.  Then I painted the matte coat on my pointer finger and pinky.  I have really liked all my valentine's nails.
