This Is Us

  Today we went to Fantasy Bridal to find a wedding dress for Brichette.  They would only allow Brichette to have 3 guests and they wouldn't allow any children.  I thought about bringing Lydia anyway, but I didn't want to mess up the appointment.  So we decided to just FaceTime Lydia on her iPod so she could see all the dresses that Brichette tired on.  After talking with the lady who was helping us, she said that the reason they won't allow children is because another customer brought there kids and they ended up stealing hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry and accessories.  Plus they were rowdy and annoying.  We told her that Lydia wasn't at all like that, and she said we should have called and talked to them so we could have brought her.  Oh well... I'm very pleased with the lady that we had the appointment with.  She was so helpful and kind. Brichette tried on so many more dresses before find the one she loved.  It's simil...

  Yesterday Brichette, Lydia, and I went wedding dress shopping.  Colleen, Sam's sister and Sam's sister-in-law went with us. We went to David's Bridal and looked at a lot of dresses, but there wasn't really any that Brichette liked.  There was one that she liked more than the other's, but it was over $1,000 and we were trying to keep it under $1,000.  I can't believe how much dress are now days!  Mine was $500.  It had a ton of bead work, a long train, and was really thick material.  Anyway... we decided to go look some other places, but Fantasy Bridal will only take you if you have an appointment and everywhere else was closed.  So, Brichette made an appointment for Fantasy Bridal.  Update: This is where she ended up finding her dress that she loves, and it was under $1,000.  It actually looked similar to the one she liked at David's Bridal, but I think it's much more elegant and beautiful.   Lydia wanted me to paint her nails on Saturday. She wanted something bright and springy. So she chose three colors. I used my gel nail polish and it’s holding up really well.
