  I talked with JoElla about selling her scrubbies and dishcloths. She thought it was a great idea, so we are! In 2017 we decided to invest in buying an above ground pool.  We don't usually shop at Walmart, but that is where we could find one.  We found a 16' one and got it all set up.  The kids had so much fun and really enjoyed it.  Then something happened and the pump stopped working.  We didn't want to drain the pool take it back, get another one, then fill it up.  So we went in bought a new one (they didn't have the 16' anymore so we had to get an 18'), set it up next to the other one, moved the water from the old one to the new one, and then took down the old and took it back for a refund. For 4 summers we have had a pool.  It has been a great investment.  I don't have to try and pack all the kids up, all their stuff and food, get in the car, pay every time to get into a swimming pool, try to find a spot, worry about people not being kind, keep an eye on everyone, make sure they are safe, pack everything all back up, come home, unpack it all again, and then do

  The last year or so I’ve been doing my own gel nails. A few years ago Nick’s parents gave me a starter set for Christmas. I used it here and there until last year when I decided that it was so worth the little bit of time. They last me well over a week and don’t chip. For Christmas this year I asked for more gel colors and a matte top coat. So that’s one of the things they got me. Yay! I have pictures of some of them, but I will start with my Valentine’s nails since Valentine’s Day is tomorrow. I painted them. To make the hearts I dapped two small dots a little apart. Then I used a small nail (yes, one for the wall) and dragged the paint down into a point making the heart. On my middle finger and pinky I used the matte top coat. The other three I used the normal top coat.

  I can’t believe Brichette is 18. It’s crazy how fast time goes.  Since we couldn’t have a big party, we decorated the yard and her car. Then we asked family and friends to drive past. Some honked, others stopped and chatted awhile. It was really fun! I really wish the weather would have been better (it was cold and rainy), but it makes for good memories, right? My parents, sister and her family, and Nick’s parents stayed for cake. Here is what I wrote on Instagram/Facebook for her: Happy 1️⃣8️⃣th Birthday Brichette!!! I don’t know where to start...   Here is a list of all the dinners we make. We are a household of picky eaters and allergies (garlic, shellfish), so we don’t have a big variety of meals. Every once in awhile I will try a new recipe. If most of us like it, I will add it to this list. If not, then we don’t ever try it again. If you see a recipe on here and we haven’t added it to our blog, let me know and we will share it with you!
