This Is Us

We are trying to be more organized around here. So today Melissa organized under our sink! All while having 5 kids under the age of 5! 😯 She used a Coke can box for grocery bags (looped a bag through the handles of another bag shoved it in, then looped another bag through those handles, and so on). She folded and put the paper bags on the side. Our griddle is to big to fit in any other cabinet, so it goes under the sink. Along with mugs that we take with us to the zoo and amusement parks. Hopefully it can stay organized. Well, at least for a couple months! 😂

We had a fun Star Wars day! We had a marathon of Star Wars movies... For dinner we had TIE fighter pasta (Creamy Parmesan Pasta from Land O'Lakes butter package), I used the bow tie pasta; Yoda ears (green beans); and The Millennium Falcon bread (French bread that I cut a triangle out of). Then we had Leia Buns (Cinnamon Rolls) for dessert.  

  Brichette wanted to try track, so she joined the track team at her Junior High. So far she seems to enjoy it.  Today she had a meet, so my mom and I went to watch her. I didn't get any photos of her running because it was too hard to catch her. haha!

  The carpet on our stairs was getting warn out and gross, so it was time to replace it. We went to the home improvement store and picked out a carpet that we like from the ones they had available in the store. We also got a good carpet pad and the other stuff we needed so Nick could install it. Nick did an amazing job! I am so very grateful for him and all that he can do for our family!

  Tank loves to sleep with his people. Anytime he gets a chance to, he will cuddle right up next to us. His favorite spot though is right next to you on the couch. Lydia fell asleep on the couch and tank curled right up next to her. Aren't they just so cute! That pink blanket Colleen made for Lydia when she was born, and she has slept with it ever since. It goes with her everywhere!

  We were sitting in the doctor's office and Lydia wanted to draw. She drew me! She was so happy and had so much fun!

  Today I tripped over some toys and ended up stubbing my toe.  It hurts so bad.  I hope it heals okay.  I did end up taping it to the bigger toe next to it, which made it feel a little better and will hopefully help it heal faster.

  Today we met up with Maren and Eric's kids and Moppy and played at the park. It was a little chilly, but the kids seem to have had fun. As we were heading over to the park Tyler and Chloe started to hold hands.  Xander had to help them do it again so we could get a picture of it.  It was so cute! The view from the park was so pretty.  We went to a park just southwest of Moppy and Poppy's house.

  For Valentine's Day this year we went to Desert Star Playhouse. I didn't really want to be right up by the stage, but here we are anyway.  haha! We had a lot of fun and it was so nice to get out and spend some "alone" time together. I made Heart shaped pink chocolate chip waffles for breakfast.

  Today is National Chocolate Cake Day. I was way to busy today to make chocolate cake from scratch, so I just went and bought some cupcakes from the store. The kids seemed to enjoy them.  We are at my parent's house...

  I just love to see sunrises and sunsets.  The sunlight reflecting off the mountains and clouds, they are just so pretty! Here are some photos I've take recently of the sunrises and sunsets.
