This Is Us

We just wanted to thank all the Men and Women who have, is, and will fight for our freedom. We are so grateful to them for taking care of us and making it possible for us to have a free country to live in. We are also grateful to their families for supporting them and helping them through being away for long periods of time and at home. It takes very courageous, caring, and loving people to leave their families, friends, and everything they know to go hundreds of thousands of miles away to keep us all save. THANK YOU!!!

If I can get it to work, I'm going to post some recent pictures, in a slide, of us and some of the things that we've been doing and whats been going on. I know some of you have been looking forward to our posts again, and we are sorry it's been so long with out some. Love You all so much and thanks for all your help and support.

So Nick has been out of work for a month now. The company he was working for didn't have any more houses, and probably wouldn't until the spring. We have been worried about money, but have been doing okay so far. Which we know is because Heavenly Father has been helping us. Nick had talked to his friend Chad (they used to work together at Home Depot), just to see how they were doing and that. Well Chad talked to his dad, and he offered him a job at the roofing company. So he started there on Monday. It sounds like a wonderful company to work for. They pay 100% of the insurance for the whole family. Nick just has to drive into the office, then they all pile in a company truck and drive to the site. So he doesn't have to use his gas, or put the mileage on his vehicle. Plus he gets paid for driving to and from the site. Also, if he works hard enough (which Nick works harder than anyone I know) in a couple of months he could be made a foreman, and get a huge raise!!!...

I just LOVE my husband!!! Yesterday I was just quietly sitting at my desk working, when my co-worker walked back with a beautiful arrangement of flowers. I was completely shocked! I read the card and it said: "Hope these flowers bring warmth to your heart and help you have a wonderful day! Love, Nick" That sure brightened my day, and made me so happy! Then one of my other co-workers asked what they were for, and I told him just because my husband loves me. He than said that Nick was making him look bad, and that I couldn't say anything to his wife, because he was slacking. LOL! I LOVE YOU NICOLAS! YOU ARE THE BEST HUSBAND IN THE WHOLE WORLD! THANKS FOR SPOILING ME!!! Side Note: **I love the vase. It's actually a glass drink pitcher, and is beautifully swirled with Red, Orange, White, and Black. I'm really excited to use it after the flowers have died.

On this day, 10 years ago, Nicolas and I were married. I can't believe that 10 years has already passed since we were saying our I Do's. That was the best beginning of the rest of my life and eternity. I had the best childhood that anyone could have had... I had wonderful parents, who gave us a lot of things most children never got. We went on so many fun vacations... Just a few: Disneyland (every year) - Staying in the Biltmore RV trips - We were so hot after hiking that we all took our shirts off (Maren and I were little kids) Oregon - Square dancing Mexico - Visit my grandparents (my dad's parents) Easter Vacation (the strike) - Even though the Easter bunny didn't visit us, we got lots of fun stuff from our trip! I'm sorry we got so upset about that! We were loved so much by our parents and by many wonderful family members, raised in the church (for the most part), and no matter how bad we were, no matter what we had done, we could always come home to a hug. ...
