Valentine’s Nails

Image
I love doing Valentine’s nails. Probably because I love pink… it’s my favorite color! I also like red. I painted my thumbs and middle fingers with a light pink. Then used This Nail Stencil  to put bows/hearts on my thumbs using the dark fuschia. Then painted my pointer fingers with the same dark fuchsia. My ring fingers I painted black and then put a pink metallic powder over it using this Nail Powder  that Xander gave me. Last I painted my pinkys with white and then used these  Nail Tools   New Nail Tools  to paint light pink hearts and put a dark fuchsia line in the hearts.  I put the regular top coat on my thumbs, ring fingers, and pinky’s. Then painted the matte top coat on my pointer and middle fingers. I love how they turned out and the metallic powder is wonderful! This is the pink metallic color I used.

Chicken Tortilla Soup

I adjust and combine several recipes to create new ones that work for my family and the few allergies that we have. I don’t add garlic or any shell fish to any recipe, because of allergies. If you’d like, you can add garlic to this, however I can’t tell you how much! Haha! Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup Ingredients: 1- 15 oz. can Black Beans (drained) 1- 15.25 oz. can Corn (drained) 2- 14.5 oz. can Chicken Broth* 1- 14.5 oz. can Diced Tomatoes (not drained)* 1 Whole Lime, juiced 1 tbsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Chili Powder 1 tsp Cumin Powder 1 tbsp Paprika Powder 1 tsp Black Pepper 2 tsp Salt 3 Chicken Breasts 1- 8oz. Block Cream Cheese Directions: Add all ingredients, except the cream cheese, to your slow cooker. Cook on low for 4 hours. Pull out the chicken and shred it, then put it back in. Cut the cream cheese into small cubes and mix it into the soup. Cook for another 2 hours. Mix again before you serve it. To serve add cheese, sour cream, guacamole, tortilla chips, or anything else

Winter Nails

For January I painted my nails with a dark green/blue, blue, and light blue. Then I used this  Nail Tool  to make big snowflakes on my thumbs and “small snowflakes” (dots) on all my other fingers. I then put the regular top coat on my thumbs and the matte top coat on all my fingers. I also put a silver jewel from these  Nail Jewels  in the middle of the big snowflake on my thumbs.
