This Is Us

So Melissa has been entering the coke rewards and getting some really cool free stuff. Thanks to her parents and aunt for donating most of the points!!! About two weeks ago they changed things. Before you could enter 10 codes per day, so in a week you could get up to 700 points. On their website they had an announcement that the daily limit would be going way. We thought that was totally awesome, because then we could enter as many as we wanted (we have a stack that keeps getting bigger). Well they took the daily limit away and made it a weekly limit. So now you can only enter 120 points per week. So we are loosing up to 580 points a week. How DUMB is that!!! We are so irritated, and think they should change it back to the daily limit!!!

So as you all know we are trying to buy a house. Well it's not going so good. Every house we've tried to look at has just went under contract. The three that we did look at, oh boy! The one smelled so bad like animal and children pee, that we walked in and walked back out. It was so gross. Xander said, as we were walking in "Oh, this place smells really bad (gag)". I don't see how they can have their children living in that filth. The other house had really bad water damage, and would take a lot of time and money to fix up. It would have to be completely gutted and re-done. Then the last house we looked at was good. It was built in '96 and needed just a little bit of work, that we could see. Well we signed the papers for the offer, and turned them in to the other agent. He said that he wasn't even going to send them into the bank (it's a short sale and the bank was going to reposes it on the 11th), because the bank had refused every offer he sent in to...

So on Thursday when I took Brichette to school, I was talking to one of her friend's mother... letting her know that we would be going to her party on Saturday. She started to say something and then said "Did you know that today is an early day and they don't have school on Friday or Monday?" I said no, and asked her if she had gotten a January calendar. She said no, she saw that they had changed the sign and asked her friend in the PTA. I had looked at that stinking sign every day and since the beginning of December it has said Season's Greetings. Then on Wednesday, I was sending out texts letting everyone know that we had changed Brichette's party to 11:00, and didn't check the sign. I am so glad that she said something because I would have felt horrible if Brichette would have been standing out there waiting for me to come. So before we left for Hawaii, I printed some coupons off of a couple websites. On Wednesday we went to Albertson's to see if their General Mills items were on sale... and they were. We were so excited. So we went through the coupons, got our items and a couple other things we needed, and got in line. Then it was our turn so I handed the lady our Preferred Savings card and then the coupons. She started going though them, even before she scanned anything, which we thought was weird. We stood there for about 5 minutes while she look at them, then excused herself and said she would be right back. She walked over to the Head Cashier and talk for a minute, then came back over and said that she can only accept 2 coupons per product. So for example: we could only use 2 coupons and get 2 Pillsbury crescent rolls instead of using 5 and getting 5. I said what??? She said that there was only one website and they would only let you print off 2 coupons, and people had been copying them...

Yesterday I was running a little late because I woke up late, the kids weren't cooperating and hurrying for me, and to top it off every street I took had road construction. I usually take 4100 in to work, but it was so backed up from all the traffic, because 3500 has construction and they were taking an alternate route, that I decided it would be faster to take 4700. NOT... of course it had construction too, where doesn't, Dumb me!!! They tore the first layer of asphalt off and had all three lanes down to one. So not only was the road rough, but then there was a sign that said BUMP. Oh no it was not a bump... it was a GIGANTIC HOLE, that if you stopped to go over it you would probably fall in and reach the center of the earth. I had slown down, but not enough. I went over it and it sounded like all my tires had popped and shoved the axles into my engine and trunk. I was lucky that my car is still drivable .
