Anniversary Tradition

Image
Every year for our anniversary we go to Anniversary Inn  . If you have never been and don’t know what this place is. It’s luxury and themed suits. We get a different room every year. We usually go to the one in Logan, but a couple times we have gone to one of the ones in Salt Lake. We haven’t been to the one in Boise. The drive up there is so beautiful. The leaves 🍁 are changing and it’s so pretty to see. These pictures just don’t do the colors justice! They are so vibrant and pretty! We get dinner after checking in and have a fun night getting away. On our way home the next day, we stop at one of the the farmer’s markets and pick up pumpkins for decorations and for the kids to carve. I didn’t get any pictures of the room because we have already been to that room and have pictures. We thought we had reserved a different room, but when we checked, that was the room we reserved. Since we have been going for about 20 years we are bound to have the same room.

Another Fun Getaway - Day 5

Monday was our last day. We had so much fun and didn’t want our little getaway to end. We woke up, had breakfast (cereal), got ready and got everything all packed up to leave.  We took pictures of the kids on the wood fence: Lydia made a girl and boy out of Playdoh: We saw a cute little animal making noise and watching us: Our trailer is old, but we’ve got some good use out of it. Like I said, I recovered the cushions and Nick put down new flooring. One of the other campsites had a dump for our gray and black “water”. So we went there so we didn’t have to drive the whole way home with it. We stopped in a little town in Wyoming to get gas and lunch. Then we headed home. Our drive home: If you are wanting a fun getaway, we recommend this one!

Another Fun Getaway - Day 4

On our drive to Vernal Friday we saw a turn off for dinosaur tracks. We talked with Dieter and Colleen and they thought it would be fun to go see them. We looked it up and it said it was a kid-friendly hike and not to far away from us. So Sunday we drove to where it was, made sure we had lots of water, and started the hike. It was kind of a harder hike than we thought a kid-friendly hike should be, and it was long, but all the kids did great and walked the whole time. Colleen ended up stopping and waiting in a shady spot for us to come back. This cute little lizard 🦎 was sleeping in the shade. It let me get really close and then looked at me so I could take a picture. Cute little guy! Then at the end of the hike, where the tracks are, is at Red Fleet Reservoir. The kids were so excited to see the water, that they all jumped in. I stayed right by them since we didn’t have their life jackets, but Nick, Dieter, and Brichette saw the tracks. Here are the tracks. They are kind of hard to s...
