This Is Us

  Here are our pictures for Christmas 2022. I was able to get them done earlier this year, only because Nick was going to be gone for work until the 22nd and I wanted to get cards out sooner. 🤣 I really do enjoy sewing, I just wish I could have a whole room. That way I can keep my machines up all year and be able to sew without the hassle of pulling them out and putting them back every time. I guess I shouldn’t be so lazy! Anyway, here are our photos: You would think it would be easier to get pictures done, now that the kids are getting older, but it’s not… because of Rooben… We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

  This holiday, as with most things this year, was different. We couldn’t go anywhere due to a kid in one of our kid’s classes getting COVID, and our kid having to be quarantined until the 11th. So we tried to make it a special one. We cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, boiled corn, made bacon ranch pasta salad, had raspberry parfait and chips. We also bought everyone their very own little tub of ice cream. Everyone was so excited! While we ate our ice cream, we watched The One and Only Ivan It wasn’t our normal thing we do, but it was fun and we enjoyed our time together! Nick, Lydia, and Tyler has fun with the Lay’s chip bag...

At the end of May/beginning of June we were supposed to be going on vacation to Reno, to visit my sister and niece. Then we were going to spend a couple days in San Francisco, before heading to the Redwoods. Because of COVID we couldn’t do that. So we decided to do a little get away. We  went to Brian Head and stayed the night. The next day we went to Cedar Breaks. We played in the mud, took pictures, wandered around, hiked, took in all the stunning views, had so much fun, and really enjoyed getting away. We still missed taking our long vacation, but hopefully soon we will be able to take that vacation! We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa at a Resort. It was so nice. It was a little chilly, so we bought all of us new sweatshirts... well, except for me. I got a t-shirt instead.
