This Is Us

  Rooben loves to sleep on his back with his legs in the air.  It's so cute and so silly! Today I found him sleeping like this on the couch. I really don't see how that can be comfortable. lol

  Tigger is always sleeping in silly and weird places. Today I found him sleeping in a basket of clean socks in the laundry room.  lol

  I know most people cringe when they hear dad jokes, but I find them funny!  Like the jokes they say on the jungle cruise ride at Disneyland and the ones in the movie. lol Here are some dad jokes that I found on the internet.   Here are our pictures for Christmas 2022. I was able to get them done earlier this year, only because Nick was going to be gone for work until the 22nd and I wanted to get cards out sooner. 🤣 I really do enjoy sewing, I just wish I could have a whole room. That way I can keep my machines up all year and be able to sew without the hassle of pulling them out and putting them back every time. I guess I shouldn’t be so lazy! Anyway, here are our photos: You would think it would be easier to get pictures done, now that the kids are getting older, but it’s not… because of Rooben… We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

So Zain decided that he is big enough to do everything the big kids do... including sliding down the banister.

Brichette got this car for her first birthday from Mary K, Trent, and their kids Alyssa, Brendan, and Valerie. She loved it, then Xander and now Zain. He has so much fun getting pushed on it, and zooming around the house. Xander riding with him: Having fun, and so happy.

While we were at the Independence Parade to watch Brichette and Xander, this guy was selling these umbrella hats. They boys got them, and the girls got ribbon princess crowns. Well the other day when we were at Melissa's parent's house the kids came out from the laundry room and had them on, along with corn starch on their noses. LOL! We all laughed so hard. It's so funny the things kids do. Oh... and the things on their forehead are Air Bender tattoos that they got from McDonald's.

Xander, Joey, and Zack were all curled up on the couch at Meliss's parent's house watching TV. It was so cute that she took these pictures of them, but as soon as she did stopped watching TV and were smiling for the camera. She tried to get them to watch TV again, but it didn't quit work. Joey kept looking at the camera.

It's amazing some of the things kids come up with. It's too bad we loose this imagination and amusement when we grow up. Melissa, our kids, and Athena were over at her parent's house one afternoon. The kids were playing outside in the water, running in and out of the house, and the next thing Melissa knows they walk over to her with plastic bags on them (see picture). Melissa and her mom were laughing so hard, and thought it was so cute that they took pictures of them. The kids liked them so much, and thought that since we were laughing so hard, they would paraded around in their Redneck Overalls all day.

One day Xander and Allie (Cris and Renee's daughter) were playing with some of the 3-D glasses we got from a movie. Well I looked over and Xander had 3 pairs of them on. It was so funny. I took a picture, and then Allie wanted a picture too. So here they are:

It was around the first part of December when it snowed for what seemed like two days straight. Dieter had gotten rid of his snow blower, and hadn't gotten another one yet. The snow was getting really deep, so Nick, Brichette, Xander, and Colleen went out to shovel the snow. It was still snowing, so what they had just shoveled was covered again with another 3 inches. The kids thought it was so much fun, but Nick and Colleen did not. The kids even threw themselves into the huge piles of snow and laughed so hard, because they were stuck. They also made snow angels. Eventually the snow stopped and so did they. It was a fun, exciting, snowy day! The End.

My mother-in-law watches her grandson on her days off, while his mom and dad work. Our kids are always anxious to come home and play. This one time, Xander was sitting in the rocking chair and Alex (the grandson) wanted to sit by him. So I put him up there next to Xander and they watched T.V. for a little bit. But them Alex started teasing Xander. He would put his foot in front of Xander's face so he couldn't see the T.V., and would laugh this really cute but sneaky laugh. Xander would laugh with him, and then try to get his foot off of him. After a couple time they both were laughing so hard that they couldn't move. It was very cute, and made us laugh too. Here are some more pictures: I can already tell he will be one of those grandpa's that tease about everything. What a cute little boy!!!

Saturday night is when I took the picture of Brichette's 4th missing tooth, and let me tell you the kids were in the silliest mood. They were laughing at everything and wanted me to take lots of pictures of them. I could only get a couple because they were moving so much that most of them came out blurry. We love it when they are in those moods... It makes us laugh and then we get into a silly mood too. I only got this one with Brichette being silly because it took lots to get her to hold still for the pictures of her teeth and then she was off running again. Xander stayed by me and showed off. Xander's Pirate Face. "ARRGGG Me Maties" (He says that so cute!!!) I don't know why, but he wanted me to take his picture doing this. I told you SILLY MOOD!!! We sure love these kids, and couldn't have asked for more wonderful children!!!

I had a Laffy Taffy today and thought that since I am in a GREAT and silly mood for a Monday, I would post the two silly jokes that were on the package. 1) What is a Buckaneer? 2) How do you get an alien baby to sleep? 1) Expensive corn 2) You Rocket LOL! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... He He He He He... Oh... Hope they made you laugh a little bit.

We watched a movie, Deep Sea, at the Planetarium last Friday. It is a really good 3-D movie... and we recommend seeing it, if you can. It shows the Food Chain, and how certain things would not be around if it weren't for this food chain. How some fish who normally would eat anything that passed by them, but in certain areas they won't, because those fish are helping them. It is just really awesome. Here is a picture of Brichette with both pairs (hers and Xander's) glasses on, and then Nick and her with the bigger ones on. Please excuse her messy face... she was eating a Kit Kat. :) I think we should have family pictures taken in these glasses. LOL!!! There isn't a picture of Xander, because he fell asleep on my lap. :)

Nick and the kids were at Kmart one afternoon picking up something we needed. The kids asked for a toy and Nick said okay. Brichette got a My Little Pony toy (of course what else would she get?) and Xander got a Ben 10 watch. Have you ever seen the show? Ben can turn into 10 different Alien's by twisting his watch and pushing the button. Xander decided that he wanted to be able to turn into different aliens. Nick explained to him that he won't really turn into them, but he can pretend. So he has been, it's really cute. Now remember that since his foot is burned, and has to have a gauze pad with tape wrapped around it he only has one pair of shoes that he can wear and these rain boots. He was pretty tired of wearing the shoes, so he decided to wear the rain boots. So in this picture: He is pretending to be aliens. Wearing the rain boots. Here is a picture of him smiling.
