This Is Us

  This year for one of my presents from Nick’s parents they got me these magnetic nail polishes. They don’t work as well as I had hoped, but it’s okay. I still like the colors.  The instructions say to paint one layer of black on, set it with the light, then paint a thin layer of the magnetic paint and use the magnet to move the colors around. Then set it with the light and then put a topcoat on. These are the colors: Here are some of the colors on my nails.

  For Christmas Xander gave me this set of nail powders. There are several chrome/metallic colors, holographic colors, and a couple pearl colors. One of the pearl colors actually says it’s a mermaid color! 🧜🏻‍♀️ 😍 I really like them and I’m so excited to try them!

  One of the presents that Nick and the kids got me for my birthday was a new rain chain. The old  Rain Chain  lasted a couple years before rusting and falling apart. I really liked this one… I like unique items… but my new one is my favorite. Hopefully this one last just as long… if not longer! 🥰 I love bees 🐝 

  My sister Jessica sent me a new sourdough jar, just because she loves me and she wanted my opinion on how it was. I do like the mouth of the glass jar being so wide, it makes it easier to add flour and water to feed it.  It is much easier to clean.  However, I like just having a paper towel on top instead of having it completely closed off, like the silicone lid this one has. *UPDATE* 8/7 - I started just using the yellow measuring band to hold on a paper towel instead of using the lid.  I like it so much better.   Nick bought me these gardening tool set for my birthday in 2021. It is so fun to have it all match, and have everything in one place. I also have it in my Gardening Tool Box  so it’s always with me in the garden!

For Christmas Nick's parents bought me this nail stencil set.  I have been having a very hard time getting it to work.  It says to only use the nail polish it comes with, but when I do, it dries so fast that the stamper it came with won't pick it up.  I have tried SEVERAL times, and it just doesn't work. I have even tried doing it on Brichette's nails, and working as fast as I can, still didn't get a good design on the stamper.   So today, I used some of the gel polish on it and it worked great!  I used the light to "dry" it on my finger after stamping and it looks good.  Here is the blog post with my nails I painted with the stamper for Valentine's Day Nails . I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with the "special" polish it came with, but it just doesn't work.   I really wanted some glow in the dark gel nail polish. I asked Nick if he could look for some, and guess what… he found some. It glows really well!
