Christmas Nails

Image
Lydia loved her Christmas nails so much from last year ( These Nails ) that she wanted them painted the same this year. We did do yellow sparkles instead this year. I used  These Nail Tools  and  This Nail Tool  to paint the Santa face and the lights. I really should get some brushes! lol  For the Santa face I used a light pink/peach color and painted her whole thumb nail with it. Cured it with the light, then painted the red sparkles. Cured it, then used the nail tools and put “dots” across the red line, and the tip of her nail (for his beard). Cured it then used the nail tools to put black dots for the eyes and a light orange for his nose. Then cured them. For the rest of her fingers I painted them white and then put the sparkles over the top for her pointer, middle, and pinky fingers. For her ring finger I used black for the light string and then this year I used these  Glow in the Dark  nail polish for the lights. They light up so good, it’s...

Christmas Nails

Image
This year for Christmas Lydia and I searched Pinterest for some ideas. We came across some cute ones with Santa. She loved them and I did my best. On her thumb I painted the Santa.  For the Santa’s face I used a light pink/peach color and painted her whole thumb nail with it. Cured it with the light, then painted the red sparkles. Cured it, then used the nail tools and put “dots” across the red line, and the tip of her nail (for his beard). Cured it then used the nail tools to put black dots for the eyes and a light orange for his nose. Then cured them. I painted her pointer fingers with green sparkles, her pinky’s with red sparkles, her middle fingers red, and her ring fingers white with then black for the light strings and bright colors for the lights. I put the glossy top coat on all of her fingers except her middle fingers. I put the matte top coat on them. I think they turned out really cute!

Spring Nails - Little Girl

Image
I painted my daughters nails for spring. They are purple and blue with white flowers.

Sleepy Dog

Image
So technically Zain, Lydia, and Tyler's spring break is this week (April 3 - April 7).  This morning we were relaxing on the couch watching TV, and Rooben was cuddling with Lydia.  It was so cute, I had to take some pictures and a video.  He was snoring. lol.  To bad the video won't download, but maybe I can put it on our Instagram.

Matching Nails

Image
Lydia wanted to have matching nails with me, So I painted them like these Christmas Nails  except she wanted the sparkly yellow on her white so it looked like a present.

Spring Nails - Little Girl

Image
Lydia wanted me to paint her nails on Saturday. She wanted something bright and springy. So she chose three colors. I used my gel nail polish and it’s holding up really well.

Vinyl For Lydia’s Wall

Image
I wanted to practice making a vinyl and getting it out together. So I made a vinyl for Lydia’s wall. It’s nothing to fancy, and was something that was free from cricut. Lydia really love it! Here are a couple videos of how I put it together... How do you like it? Would you want to buy a personal name one? If so, let me know!

Lydia’s Baptism

Image
Today Lydia made the decision to get baptized. We are so happy! Because of the pandemic we weren’t able to have anyone there with us. Everyone had to join the zoom. Even though it wasn’t the same, I’m very grateful for zoom so that everyone could still watch her get baptized. I didn’t get any photos at the church, but the couple who help with the baptisms did. So hopefully we will get a copy. I did get a picture of her in her baptism dress outside in our front yard.

Tiny Snowman

Image
Even though there wasn't much snow on this day in 2017, Lydia and Tyler decided they wanted to go play in the snow.  So they put all their snow clothes on and went and played. I went and grabbed our camera and when I came back they had made a tiny snowman and put it on the porch. They have so much fun outside!

Lydia's 5th Birthday

Image
For all the kid's 5th and 10th birthday parties we take them and some friends/family to do something special.  They get to pick what they want to do. For Lydia's birthday she decided she wanted to go bowling.  So we sent invites to a few of her friends and a few of her cousins. We went on a Saturday morning, got a couple of lanes, and paid for everyone to bowl a couple times.  We also got some french fries and drinks. We think they all had fun, especially Lydia.  She was so excited to have her friends and cousins with her and do something she really enjoys. Afterwards we had a party at our house where everyone was invited.  We had cake, she opened presents, and the kids played.

Lydia’s Cheer Showcase

Image
Lydia had her cheer showcase on Monday. She did so good and had so much fun. She is constantly practicing and her hard work showed. The High School cheerleaders came to watch and perform. They even did stunts with Lydia. She is so good and stunting!

Lydia's Room

Image
In March of 2018 (yes, we know this was over two years ago.  We are way behind and just starting to catch up) we were able to create Lydia's room. Tyler was potty trained.  So he was able to get out of the crib and moved into Zain's room with him on the bunk bed. Lydia loves Frozen and pink.  So we found her a bed set and went from there.  We had these little woodland critters for Brichette, but she obviously out grew them.  So they went to Lydia and she is so happy with them.  However, with our walls being textured they don't stick very well (if we ever have Nick build us a house, we are NOT having textured walls!) and are constantly falling off.  There is also a matching picture holder that is on the opposite wall. Colleen made curtains for her window: We added some of her drawings and paintings to the wall along with her class picture.  We found some glow in the dark unicorn stickers. We also added the cheer picture she made at chee...
