This Is Us

  Here is our little family Halloween Party this year.   I made mummy dogs (hot dogs in crescent rolls) that I make every year, zombie mac & cheese (regular mac & cheese dyed green), and little bags of chips. We got drinks from the gas station, which we do almost every night. I bought Halloween plates, dessert plates, and napkins. Zain wore Xander's inflatable dinosaur costume, Lydia was Jasmine (except when we went trick-or-treating she wore Xander's inflatable bull rider costume), and Tyler was a police officer. Brichette and Sam joined us (Sam is wearing the white wig). Xander went with his friends to a party. I felt like I was running around all day and hardly got anything done.  It was a crazy night! It got dark before I could get individual pictures of them in their costumes, so I took them the next day.  Although Zain wouldn't let me take it, so there's that!

  On Saturday Lydia performed a dance at a retirement home. At the same time Zain had a basketball game. So I went with Lydia and Nick took Tyler and went with Zain. Brichette and Xander had to work. Here is some photos from Lydia’s performance. We all got home and needed to run to the store. Afterwards we got drinks from the gas station and came home. We got started on dinner. I made ranch bacon pasta salad, cupcakes, and mummy dogs. I was going to make cookies, but I didn’t have time. Lydia and Tyler were photo bombing my pictures… 🤣 Lydia didn’t take off her costume from her performance, and decided she wanted to wear it for trick-or-treating. So we added some makeup. Brichette and Xander’s costumes: Brichette wanted to stay home and watch scary movies and Xander went with friends to some parties. After dinner we went to Nick’s parents and went trick-or-treating. We went on Saturday so we could stay up after trick-or-treating and watch movies. Also, then we could keep the sabba...

  We had a lot of fun again this year. On Friday we had Lydia’s trunk-or-treat for cheer, then right after we had our ward trunk-or-treat. We were a little late, but still had an hour and lots of fun! Friday the kids could wear their costumes to school. Their school didn’t have a parade, which I was a little bummed about.
