Dinosaur Park Slide

More Dinosaurs...

Image
Before Melissa (with her mom and aunt) took the kids to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point, they went to the dinosaur park in Ogden. Maren and her kids came with. It was a lot of fun. We walked around, and Lorena sat at a table with Ryan because she was to tired to walk around but wanted to be with us, and that kept Ryan in the shade. The above picture Melissa took right as they got there. All the kids ran over to this grassy area to see a dinosaur, and I ran on the other side. We didn't line them up like that, they did that themselves. Once we got done walking around, we got some hamburgers and nuggets from the concession place they had their and went over to the Park and ate. In case you haven't been their, they have a park connected to the Dinosaur Park, with Dino slides, swings, and all sorts of fun stuff. We found a nice table in the shade and enjoyed a nice lunch. After the kids were done eating we started feeding the sea gulls. They were pretty crazy... when

So Much Better!

Image
A little while ago we took the kids to the drive in. We've never been and thought it would be fun. It was only $15.00 to get in and watch 2 movies ($7.00 for us adults, $1.00 for Brichette, and Xander was free), plus we could bring our own food and drinks. We first tried sitting in the back of the Durango with all of our pillows and blankets which worked out okay, but then we decided to ask Nick's parents if we could borrow their truck. That was so much better, we filled the back with our 5 body pillows, regular pillows, tons of blankets, and had lots of room for us to snuggle in (it was nice and soft). It was also a lot cooler, since we weren't surrounded by car and the air could move around us. We all enjoyed it so much (and so much cheaper) that we haven't been to the regular movie theaters since. Here are a couple pictures (none of us in the back of the Durango, the pictures were to dark):

Crazy Couple Weeks!

We are still here. It's been a crazy-busy last couple of weeks, between dance, school, choir, and everything else. Thanks for being patient with us!

Just Be Careful!!!

Nicolas is building a cover over Melissa's parent's back patio. It starts by the back door and goes around the west side of the house. He is so amazing... he can just pull these ideas out of his head, have no problems building it, and they are wonderful! It's wonderful to have a husband that can fix and build anything. :) Anyway, Brichette decided that she wanted to go up on the roof with him. I was very worried and told her to stay away from the edges. Then Xander wanted to get up there (of course), which made me worry even more because I didn't want them up there playing and messing around. So they had to sit down and not move very much. Melissa's mom got up there as well, to help watch them and to have fun for herself (right mom?). Here are some more pictures: The clouds and sunset were pretty cool so I took some pictures of those:

Yes, It's Late. But Wanted To Share!

It's late, but we wanted to share them anyway. Brichette and Xander are in Melissa's aunt's neighborhood parade every 4th of July. The parade starts by her aunts, and ends at a park that is about a mile away from her house. This year they had games, and face painting. We only got a picture of the kids with their faces painted (wasn't thinking). Then we had a BBQ and fireworks at Melissa's parent's house. Dieter and Colleen joined us for fireworks. On the 24th we went to Melissa's parent's house for a BBQ and fireworks again, but this time Dieter and Colleen joined us for the BBQ but not the fireworks. :) Maren, Eric, and Joey went to a REAL Soccer game, that is why they aren't in any of the pictures. We have done two different slides so you can tell which is the 4th and which is the 24th.

Time For A Change...

As much as we don't want to, we changed our layout. We figure it's fall (even though we are still having summer weather), and our page needed a change.

It's That Time Again

So it was time again for the Orme family reunion. We went to the same place, but had a different group camp site, which was okay but not as nice as the camp site we usually get. The new one didn't have fire pits or picnic tables at the individual camping spots (within the group site), only at the group area. We drove the ATV's down and Dieter and Colleen took the tent trailer. When we arrived there, we decided to take the ATV's our for a ride since they had left for dinner (drove to the town to have Mexican food). The place we went was really dusty, like 3 inches of soft dirt. It was dark enough that I couldn't get pictures. We drove up the road that lead up the mountain and had lots of fun. Before it got to dark we turned around and came back down. There was a little stream, and in it were tadpoles and the water bugs that skied across the water. We were watching them for a minute, and then bats started swooping down eating the bugs. It was so cool to watch,

At The Park - Slide

What Time Are We Meeting Them?

A little while ago Melissa and the kids met our friend Chevonne at a park. She was watching her niece and nephew for the day, and thought that they could meet them at a park and have lunch. We had it planned for awhile so the kids kept asking when we were going to meet them. At first we had to tell them it was awhile before, then the week before we met them we had to keep telling them that it would be on Friday, not till Friday . When Friday finally came they couldn't wait. They were so excited they would ask every 5 minutes if it was time. They got to the park and ate lunch, then let the kids play on the play ground for awhile. Then came back to the house and had Popsicles and played for a little bit in the back yard. It was so much fun! Thanks for a fun day guys! Love You!

Slip N' Slide - Slide

Go Baby, Go!!!

A little while ago Melissa's parent's bought a Slip N' Slide for the grand kids. They have a nice sized hill in their back yard, which makes it really fun. After it was set up, they played on it for about 2 weeks straight and would play until they were so cold that their lips were purple. Silly Kids. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
