It's That Time Again

So it was time again for the Orme family reunion. We went to the same place, but had a different group camp site, which was okay but not as nice as the camp site we usually get. The new one didn't have fire pits or picnic tables at the individual camping spots (within the group site), only at the group area.

We drove the ATV's down and Dieter and Colleen took the tent trailer. When we arrived there, we decided to take the ATV's our for a ride since they had left for dinner (drove to the town to have Mexican food). The place we went was really dusty, like 3 inches of soft dirt. It was dark enough that I couldn't get pictures. We drove up the road that lead up the mountain and had lots of fun. Before it got to dark we turned around and came back down. There was a little stream, and in it were tadpoles and the water bugs that skied across the water. We were watching them for a minute, and then bats started swooping down eating the bugs. It was so cool to watch, and the kids were very excited to see them. Then we packed up and went back to camp.

The next day we did crafts and the kids colored pillow cases. After lunch Nicolas and Dieter took Brichette, Xander, and Allie for a ride on the ATV's. They were gone about an hour, and I took a walk down the road and got some really nice pictures of the mountains (before they burned). As I was heading down the road for my walk, there was a family with their pet PIG. Yes I said Pig. I talked to the mom, and she said they get the pigs when they are little, raise them, then when they are big enough they eat them. Then they get another one and start all over. I don't think I could do that... I would get to attached to them. For dinner we all eat together, and then Brian put together a slide show of everyone, well almost everyone. There were a few of us that didn't get pictures over to him. We didn't because our wedding pictures, and most of our pictures are packed away. We are going to find them and get them to him for our New Years party. After that they were watching the Dark Knight, but we went back up to our camp spot and roasted marshmallows, s'mores, and banana boats over Cris and Renee's stove. For those of you who don't know... banana boats are: Bananas (obviously), marshmallows, and chocolate. They sure are YUMMY!!!

Then for the next day we all have breakfast together, talk and let the kids play, then pack up and go home. After we got all packed up we took the ATV's out for awhile, and got rained on. Nick made dust circles with the kids, then we packed up and came home.

It was so much fun and great to see everyone!
