This Is Us

  Lightening is so pretty! Yesterday when I went to pick up Zain from school, there was a big storm coming in with lots of lightening. Do you know how lightening happens? This Article  explains it so well.  You should read all about it!

The next day we woke up, ate breakfast, got ready and headed to Vernal to the Dinosaur Quarry.  We didn't leave when we planned to, because Lydia got a bloody nose.  She has never had one before, so we think it was to dry and her body was used to the swamp cooler at home (Nick and the boys need it so they don't get bloody noses in the summer).  We got her all cleaned up, a cold rag on the back of her neck, and a whole box of tissues for her to take on the ride, just in case. We drove through the canyon and got to the quarry.  We had to wear masks and we had to make reservations online for the tram that went up to the dinosaur wall.  Our time was 11:30-12:00.  We could go anytime between that half hour.  We walked through the visitor center/gift shop to where we had to wait.  We waited in designated areas for the tram (numbered with numbers.)  Once it arrives the people coming back down, get off and go around us, and go in the doors to the vis...

A little bit ago it rained really hard here, and the kids were so excited about it that they had to go out and play in it. They were running in it, pretending to melt, and laughing lots. If Melissa wouldn't have had the camera she might have joined them. It's so much fun to play in the rain. Once they were done they came inside, took their wet clothes off, and snuggled in blankets until their clothes had dried.

Today on my way to work I was able to see beauty in some of Heavenly Father's creations. The Sun, Clouds, Sky, Rain... So breathe taking. They aren't the best pictures, because I was taking them as I was driving. Don't worry I made it to work safe and sound... without any tickets, or accidents, because Heavenly Father kept me safe. Just after these were taken, it poured rain.

Nick and the kids came and took me to lunch. We went to Wendy's... it was so much fun! Once we were done eating and started getting into the car, Xander asked if they were taking me home. I said no, I'm going back to work. And he said "AWWW... But I want you to come home with us." It breaks my heart when they do stuff like that. So after they dropped me off they headed home. They were half way there and it just started pouring rain (see picture 1). Nick said there was about 12 inches on the ground and you could barely see through it. He told me it was headed my way, and I was so excited. I love the summer rain. It smells so good, and looks so pretty. It started to come (picture 2) but it passed right over us, without dropping a drop of rain. I am so bummed!
