We Finally Made It!

So we finally made it to the Dinosaur Museum the next week. According to them it's the largest dinosaur museum in the world. They were doing a promotion that every Tuesday in August you could go to any venue at Thanksgiving Point for just $2.00 per person. How cool is that? We are hoping they do it next year as well. We got there a little bit before 10:00 A.M. (that's when they open) and the line wrapped all the way around the building and almost reached the front of the line. It was so crazy. The wait to just get in was about 1/2 an hour, which wasn't to bad since it wasn't that hot yet. We finally got in, and had lots of fun. The kids have been there before, but they were probably to little to remember. It was when I was on Maternity leave after Xander was born, so I know he was to little, but Brichette might have remembered some of it. After we got done, we went to Lehi and had lunch at Wienerschnitzel. We just love that place.

We Are So Not Waiting!

A couple weeks ago Melissa, her mom, her aunt, and the kids wanted to go to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point, but due to someone getting up to late (you know who you are, LOL), it was way to crowded and they decided to go to the Zoo instead and would try again the next week. They wanted to get as many things done as they could before Brichette went back to school. Before they drove up to the zoo, they stopped at McDonald's and had lunch. There were so many baby animals... The elephant just had her baby, but couldn't come out for 6 weeks so she (baby) can adjust; Giraffe, Snow Leopard. It was so much fun. It was really hot so we used my mom's umbrellas, which the kids were very excited about. We got Ice Cream and drinks... I think that's a must when you go to the zoo. They also have the new Madagascar, which is where the white alligator used to be. It's cool they have a Fossa, which is what attacks the lemur's in the movie (that they think Alex the lion

It Was So Good To See You!!!

Our friends Troy, Marchezt, and their kids came down, but Troy had to go back before we could visit. But the kids and Melissa got to visit with Marchezt, Kaedance, and Landon. We met them at Thanksgiving Point and went to the Farm Country they have there. It was so much fun to see them, visit with them, and have the kids out doing something instead of being stuck in the house or back yard. It is a really neat place, they have lots of animals to see, you can ride on the ponies or take a wagon ride, and a little store like place that you can learn about how vegetables and fruits grow and what they look like from a seed to the food. We were over looking at the pigs, and a couple of them would go roll around in the mud then come running as fast as they could to the fence at the kids. The kids were laughing so hard, and we think the pigs enjoyed them laughing, because they kept doing it. Afterwards we went and had lunch. It was so much fun and wish they lived closer so we could do mor

Not So Little Anymore

Well Brichette is officially a first grader now! She started today, and was so excited... to see all her friends, make new ones, go all day, have school lunch, but most of all to wear her new school clothes and shoes. We can't believe that she is in 1st grade. Oh how fast they grow up and aren't your little babies anymore. It seems like just yesterday we were coming home from the hospital with her and here she is, already in 1st grade. Melissa had a harder time this year then last year, because she's home now and didn't want to let her go. We love you Brichette and know with how smart you are you are going to do great in 1st grade and through all of your school years. You will have lots of friends and unfortunately have lots of boys after you. You are the best daughter parents could have. Here are some more pictures of her: Waiting in line. Starting to walk in. Part of her class. There she goes... our little baby!

So It Begins...

We got the kids enrolled in dance. Brichette is taking jazz/hip-hop and Xander is in an all boys hip-hop class (which he is very excited about). Last year they took ballet, which they enjoyed, but we think was to slow for them. So we thought we would let them try something with a faster beat. We are paying $36.00 a month (for both of them) and Brichette's costume is just $30.00. Xander won't have a costume, just Levi's and a black shirt. They have between 4-6 performances in the year and the classes are 45 minutes long, once a week. How cool is that! A couple of the places we checked out wanted at least $40.00 a month for one person/class and almost $300.00 for the costumes for one recital. We didn't think we would ever afford dance, then we found this place! The studio is wonderful, not to far from our house, and they are such wonderful people. They don't start until September, but we will post pictures of them as soon as we have some.

If You Can't Tell

Just in case you can't tell... We really want to be in Hawaii! :)
