Date Night

Date nights are so important. Spending quality time together without distractions boosts connection. They help build better communication, greater affection and gratitude for each other, and a stronger desire to spend more time together.  Formal date nights don’t happen very often for us. Most of the time we get our alone time by going to the grocery or hardware store, getting our nightly sodas from the gas station, or cuddling in our bed watching TV and eating Gelato, after the kids have gone to bed. During these times we talk about our days, something we heard or read, what we are struggling with, or our opinions on different things. For us, this time is some of our favorite. We try to make sure we have some time alone every day.  For us, this time together helps us grow closer to each other and build a stronger relationship. Just remember... time together does not have to be formal date nights.  Making dinner together, grocery shopping together, watching tv or m...

A Night Out

It’s been a very long time, but we did it! We had a date night away from home! Nicolas and I went to the movies (they just opened on Friday). The tickets were only $5 a piece and the snacks were discounted. We had to wear masks unless we were eating or drinking. We saw  Inception . Yes, it’s not a new movie. They were showing it for the 10th Anniversary. There wasn’t any other movie we wanted to see, but we wanted a date night. Plus we never saw it on the big screen, and it was great! When we picked our seats, they had every other row blocked off. We chose the top row right in the middle. Once we chose our seats, two seats on my side and two seats on Nick’s side were blocked out. We discussed how cool it would be to have the whole theater to ourselves... we walked inside and there wasn’t anyone there. We knew we were a little early and figured at least one other person would come. No one ever did. We had that whole theater to ourselves! It was great! I could laugh and jump w...

Valentine's Day - 2016

Image
For Valentine's Day this year we went to Desert Star Playhouse. I didn't really want to be right up by the stage, but here we are anyway.  haha! We had a lot of fun and it was so nice to get out and spend some "alone" time together. I made Heart shaped pink chocolate chip waffles for breakfast.

What A Great Game!

On Friday Nick's work gave him tickets to the Jazz game. Lorena watched the kids for us, Thank You Lorena!!! It was a good game. There were a couple of times we thought... "Jazz What Are You Doing?" because they did some pretty silly things. Dieter and Colleen went to, they were in one of the suite's. Dieter called Nick and said that they could see us so we better behave. LOL! Also one of Melissa's really good friends, Liz, was there. They were texting each other, and we were able to spot them, but we aren't sure if they ever did find us because Melissa's phone died. We tried to "race" over to where they were at, but by the time we got over there we had missed them. Sorry Liz, we were trying to come say HI! :) So thank you for the tickets. We had a great night!
