Date Night
Date nights are so important. Spending quality time together without distractions boosts connection. They help build better communication, greater affection and gratitude for each other, and a stronger desire to spend more time together.
Formal date nights don’t happen very often for us. Most of the time we get our alone time by going to the grocery or hardware store, getting our nightly sodas from the gas station, or cuddling in our bed watching TV and eating Gelato, after the kids have gone to bed. During these times we talk about our days, something we heard or read, what we are struggling with, or our opinions on different things. For us, this time is some of our favorite.
We try to make sure we have some time alone every day. For us, this time together helps us grow closer to each other and build a stronger relationship.
Just remember... time together does not have to be formal date nights. Making dinner together, grocery shopping together, watching tv or movies together at home, folding laundry together, studying the scriptures together, all of these moments help you grow closer together. It's these moments that make you stronger together.
