For Christmas Nick gave me a set of nail polishes. They are all different colors of pink. Which is awesome!!

Christmas Nails

Image
Lydia loved her Christmas nails so much from last year ( These Nails ) that she wanted them painted the same this year. We did do yellow sparkles instead this year. I used  These Nail Tools  and  This Nail Tool  to paint the Santa face and the lights. I really should get some brushes! lol  For the Santa face I used a light pink/peach color and painted her whole thumb nail with it. Cured it with the light, then painted the red sparkles. Cured it, then used the nail tools and put “dots” across the red line, and the tip of her nail (for his beard). Cured it then used the nail tools to put black dots for the eyes and a light orange for his nose. Then cured them. For the rest of her fingers I painted them white and then put the sparkles over the top for her pointer, middle, and pinky fingers. For her ring finger I used black for the light string and then this year I used these  Glow in the Dark  nail polish for the lights. They light up so good, it’s...

Holographic and Metallic Nail Powder

Image
For Christmas Xander gave me this set of nail powders. There are several chrome/metallic colors, holographic colors, and a couple pearl colors. One of the pearl colors actually says it’s a mermaid color! 🧜🏻‍♀️ 😍 I really like them and I’m so excited to try them!

Christmas Jammies 2022

Image
Here are our pictures for Christmas 2022. I was able to get them done earlier this year, only because Nick was going to be gone for work until the 22nd and I wanted to get cards out sooner. 🤣 I really do enjoy sewing, I just wish I could have a whole room. That way I can keep my machines up all year and be able to sew without the hassle of pulling them out and putting them back every time. I guess I shouldn’t be so lazy! Anyway, here are our photos: You would think it would be easier to get pictures done, now that the kids are getting older, but it’s not… because of Rooben… We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

2021 Christmas Jammies

Image
Here are our Jammies for 2021. Brichette’s boyfriend took the pictures for us. Sometimes it’s hard to get everyone looking, without eyes closed or making silly faces. We eventually got one and then took some silly ones of the kids.

2020 Christmas Pictures

Image
Here are our pictures for Christmas this year... We had to hurry because Brichette had to get to her choir concert. So there aren’t very many and they aren’t the best. We used to buy the $3.99 fleece blankets from ShopKo, but since they closed in 2018 (I think that’s when it was), we’ve had to buy fabric from JoAnn’s. It’s more expensive, except for this year. We were able to find a pattern we like (Yetis) in the stuff on sale. It was $2.99 a yard!

Light The World

Image
Every year since The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints started #lighttheworld we’ve participated in it. It helps us remember what this season is about, The birth of our Savior and eldest brother Jesus Christ. It helps us share the light of Jesus. It helps our Christmas Season be more. You can visit  Come Unto Christ  for lots of ideas. There is a downloadable calendar for something to do everyday or you can sign up for text messages. Or do what we did... do both! Here is what the calendar looks like: It’s been a rough year! It’s been a challenging year! But no matter what’s gone on this year, I hope that whatever you do this Christmas, you are able to see the Light of Christ and share it with someone. We all need more light, especially this year!

Christmas Lights at Hogle Zoo - 2017

Image
We love having an annual pass to Hogle Zoo.  We can go anytime we want, and we get to go to their special events, like Zoolights. It's so fun.  You get to go explore the zoo at night.  There are so many light structures and trees that are light up with Christmas lights.  On certain nights they have special things... Like a s'mores making station, caroling, and other stuff. These pictures were taken in 2017, but for the most part the lights are the same.  They change them up a little, add new ones, take away others. They had a booth with light up toys, so we bought each of them one that they wanted. The kids got to meet Santa Claus.  We highly recommend going to see all the lights.  Plus a lot of the animals are more active so you have a better chance to see them.
