Painted Toes - Halloween Wedding

Image
As I shared in  this post  my sister is getting married. I painted my nails and this post is for my toes. I painted them the same way, all of them black, then put this  purple metallic nail powder  on my big toe. Then I put the regular top coat on and the matte top coat on all the rest of my toes that are black. I really like how they turned out! Now I’m all matching for their wedding!

Halloween Wedding Nails

My sister Jess is getting married to a wonderful man, Brian. We will be going to Reno, Nevada for their wedding. They decided on elegant Halloween colors. I am one of her bridesmaids and my dress is a dark purple/plum color. So for my nails I painted all of them black and then put this  purple metallic nail powder  on my ring fingers. I then put the regular top coat over the metallic purple and the matte top coat on the rest of my fingers (that I left black). I really like how they turned out, so hopefully they stay good for the wedding! I also painted my toes to match.  Painted Toes

Fall Nails

Image
Even though I am not ready for summer to be over, I painted my nails for fall since it is September. Haha! I used a red, olive green, orange, mustard yellow, and white. I used  These Nail Tools  to do all the designs and then did a matte top coat.

Summer Nails

Doing my own nails is something I really enjoy doing. It also is less expensive and takes way less time.  Sometimes what is in my head comes out exactly the way I wanted and I absolutely love them. Then other times not so much and I really don’t like them, but I leave them because I don’t want to waste the nail polish and the time. This time is one of the times I absolutely love the way they turned out! I used a light blue, pink, yellow, and white. I used  these tools  to make the flowers, and polka dots. Then I used  this stencil kit  to make the lines on my other nails (I used the leaf pattern). I each hand different.

Star Wars Day 2025

Image
Since Star Wars Day was on a Sunday this year we invited Nick’s parents over for dinner. We also invited Jeff, Abbie, and their boys. Brichette and Flint came too. It was so fun! We had Star Wars plates, napkins, and tablecloth exactly like the ones we had last year -  2024 Star Wars Day ! For food we had: Bantha Kabobs (Chicken, bacon, and pineapple) Thermal Detonators (meatballs) Stormtrooper Cheese (sting cheese) Sarlacc Cheeseball Star Wars Wheat Thins (no fun shapes) Naboo Fruit Mandalorian Goldfish Crackers Wookie Cookies (no bake cookies) Ewok Brownies For the Sarlacc cheeseball I made a regular cheeseball, but instead of covering it in sliced almonds, I covered it in breadcrumbs to create the sand. I wrapped it in plastic wrap and shaped it into a ball and then pushed a hole in the center. Then I placed it in the fridge for a few hours to harden. I pulled it out and placed two sliced almonds in the hole to create the Sarlacc monster. I used string cheese for the “ten...

Super Bowl 2025

Image
This year for the Super Bowl we watched it from home. For as long as I can remember we have gone to Nick’s parents, but this year we weren’t able to. On Saturday I wrote down a list of food, Nick and I went and got everything, and then I got everything made. We had lit’l smokies, chips, muddy buddies, fruits & dip, veggies & dip, cheese dip, summer sausage, cheeseball, crackers, donuts, and ham and cheese sliders. For the fruit and veggie dips I made them. Here is the recipe for the  Fruit Dip . The veggie dip was just a 16oz. container of sour cream and the Hidden Valley dip mix. The donuts we got from Krispie Kreme (the dozen only came with six footballs and then six regular). I made the cheese ball. It’s cream cheese, bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, green onions, and almonds. I shaped it like a football and then put Swiss cheese on top for the laces. Lydia and I tried to make the fruit look like a football, but it ended up looking more like a football stadium 🏟️! I ...
