Valentine’s Nails

Image
I love doing Valentine’s nails. Probably because I love pink… it’s my favorite color! I also like red. I painted my thumbs and middle fingers with a light pink. Then used This Nail Stencil  to put bows/hearts on my thumbs using the dark fuschia. Then painted my pointer fingers with the same dark fuchsia. My ring fingers I painted black and then put a pink metallic powder over it using this Nail Powder  that Xander gave me. Last I painted my pinkys with white and then used these  Nail Tools   New Nail Tools  to paint light pink hearts and put a dark fuchsia line in the hearts.  I put the regular top coat on my thumbs, ring fingers, and pinky’s. Then painted the matte top coat on my pointer and middle fingers. I love how they turned out and the metallic powder is wonderful! This is the pink metallic color I used.

Sourdough Peanut Butter Cookies

Nick loves peanut butter cookies.  So, I decided to try and make some.  I found several different recipes and then came up with my own.  I'm not good at knowing everything I should put in cookies, but I can adjust different recipes to and make my own from it.  lol Here is my recipe: Sourdough Peanut Butter Cookies Ingredients: 1/2 Cup Salted Butter softened 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar 2 Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla 3/4 Cup Sourdough Starter 1 Cup Peanut Butter 2 1/2 Cups Flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Baking Soda 1/2 tsp Salt Directions: Preheat the oven.  Add the butter and sugars to your stand mixer.  Mix until it's lighter in color.  Add the eggs and mix again.  Mix in the vanilla and sourdough starter. Chicken Tortilla Soup

I adjust and combine several recipes to create new ones that work for my family and the few allergies that we have. I don’t add garlic or any shell fish to any recipe, because of allergies. Winter Nails

Image
For January I painted my nails with a dark green/blue, blue, and light blue. Then I used this  Nail Tool  to make big snowflakes on my thumbs and “small snowflakes” (dots) on all my other fingers. I then put the regular top coat on my thumbs and the matte top coat on all my fingers. I also put a silver jewel from these  Nail Jewels  in the middle of the big snowflake on my thumbs.

New Year's Eve Party 2023

Image
This year for New Year's Eve we stayed home and it was just the five of us. I haven't been feeling well the last couple of days and ended up getting hives all over my body. Our party this year didn't have the regular food that we usually have... All the food was frozen and we just reheated it. We played games and then watched the new Indiana Jones movie (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny).

Holographic and Metallic Nail Powder

Image
For Christmas Xander gave me this set of nail powders. There are several chrome/metallic colors, holographic colors, and a couple pearl colors. One of the pearl colors actually says it’s a mermaid color! 🧜🏻‍♀️ 😍 I really like them and I’m so excited to try them!

Christmas Nails

Image
This year for Christmas Lydia and I searched Pinterest for some ideas. We came across some cute ones with Santa. She loved them and I did my best. On her thumb I painted the Santa.  For the Santa’s face I used a light pink/peach color and painted her whole thumb nail with it. Cured it with the light, then painted the red sparkles. Cured it, then used the nail tools and put “dots” across the red line, and the tip of her nail (for his beard). Cured it then used the nail tools to put black dots for the eyes and a light orange for his nose. Then cured them. I painted her pointer fingers with green sparkles, her pinky’s with red sparkles, her middle fingers red, and her ring fingers white with then black for the light strings and bright colors for the lights. I put the glossy top coat on all of her fingers except her middle fingers. I put the matte top coat on them. I think they turned out really cute!
