How Exciting!

Last week Ashley Furniture was having a sale for President's Day (Or what is really Washington's Birthday, right daddy? ). We got a microfiber couch for $295.00. It is really nice... It's tan, double padded, and really wide and long. In fact... we can't fit it through the garage door (we just picked it up yesterday). They also had a bed set that we liked, and kept debating on whether to get it or not. We went back a couple days later, and they told us that they weren't doing sales tax. So we bought it. It goes great with our Oriental theme that we have for our bedroom. The set is the bed, dresser with mirror, and a five drawer dresser that's taller. They are black with silver accents. We are so excited. We don't have it yet (it's being made), but when we get it we'll have to post some pictures.

Isn't It Spring Yet???

A couple days ago it was so nice outside that we just had to go out and play. The kids rode their bikes and scooters, while Nick and Melissa watched. We also went for a walk down the street and back. Melissa can't wait for it to warm up so they can take walks everyday and go play at the play ground. They were so cute in their helmets, and pads, that Melissa had to take lots of pictures. So as most of you know, our kids love the camera, so they would pose for us pretty much every time we would take a picture. They are such cute kids (if we do say so ourselves). Here are some more pictures:

New Member Of Our Family!

No, Melissa isn't pregnant... even though that would be totally awesome! We adopted a new family member. Her name is Lucy (the kids picked it). She is about 4-5 months old. She is getting used to us, and starting to love us holding her. We love her lots.

Valentine's Day Slide

Probably Not The Usual Valentine's Day.

After we got home from Wendover we wanted to do something fun with the kids for Valentine's Day. We were going to take them bowling, but the place was way to crowded, and it would have taken us hours just to get a lane. So we took them Miniature Golfing instead. They had so much fun. Then we bought Madagascar 2 and had movie night at home. It was a really fun Valentine's Day!!!

Early Valentine's Day!

We decided that since we teach primary on Sundays, that we would celebrate Valentine's early. So Friday afternoon we dropped the kids off with Melissa's parents (Thank You Dad and Mom for watching them!), and we drove to Wendover. Nick got us a room at the Montego Bay Hotel and Casino. We just love their rooms. They are newly remodeled, and have flat screen tv's, two queen beds, and are just really cool. Well you all should know how Nick drives... it took us an hour and 10 minutes to get there. It usually takes around 2 hours. When we checked in, Nick asked if the new section was finished. The lady said Yes, then asked if we would like a room in there. So we got a brand new room. It still smelled like new carpet, so cool. It was nice to have a night to ourselves, and get away from all the stress. Saturday morning we woke up, watched TV, and then Nick went and got us breakfast at McDonald's. We were so into this movie that we only had about 10 minutes to get ready before...

I Guess We'll Wait!!!

Well, Nick and I have decided that we'll wait to buy a house. We'll get all of our other bills paid off first, then buy a Brand New House. We went looking at some new houses the other day, and fell in love with one. It has an awesome floor plan, a little over 2,800 square feet, and is only around $40,000 more then a used house. Plus they will give us a 10 year warranty, and we can do a lot of sweat equity. So anything we know how to do, or want to do, they will let us as long as we don't have to be licensed to do it. So Nick will frame the house, then we'll do the dry wall, paint, tile, cabinets, electrical (just in the house), and all sorts of stuff like that. So we'll have done most of the house ourselves! We are so excited. We would have had our bills paid off before, but Nick, with the construction, kept being out of work, and then he got a cut in pay, then I lost my job, and it just seemed no matter what we do we can't get a head. But now it seems ...

Not Another One...

A couple days ago Brichette lost another tooth. So right now, she has 5 gaps in her mouth, and about ready to loose another one. I haven't gotten a picture yet, because I wanted her gum to heal over before I did. So as soon as I get a picture, I'll post it. All together she has lost 7, almost 8, teeth. Plus she already has all 4 of her "6 Year" molars, which are permanent teeth. It's so crazy!

One Heck Of A Time!!!

So as you all know we are trying to buy a house. Well it's not going so good. Every house we've tried to look at has just went under contract. The three that we did look at, oh boy! The one smelled so bad like animal and children pee, that we walked in and walked back out. It was so gross. Xander said, as we were walking in "Oh, this place smells really bad (gag)". I don't see how they can have their children living in that filth. The other house had really bad water damage, and would take a lot of time and money to fix up. It would have to be completely gutted and re-done. Then the last house we looked at was good. It was built in '96 and needed just a little bit of work, that we could see. Well we signed the papers for the offer, and turned them in to the other agent. He said that he wasn't even going to send them into the bank (it's a short sale and the bank was going to reposes it on the 11th), because the bank had refused every offer he sent in to...

Playtime At The Mall

They Just Love This Place!

A little while ago, Colleen, Nick, I took Brichette, Xander, Athena, and Alex to the mall. After doing some shopping, we headed over to the little play area that they have. Brichette and Xander used to go there all the time with Lorena, and just love it. So they wanted to show Athena and Alex how fun it is. They were having so much fun that they didn't want to leave, but after a couple of times trying to get them ready to leave (getting their shoes and coats on) they were finally ready to go. Plus the younger ones needed naps. We got some really cute pictures.

What A Great Game!

On Friday Nick's work gave him tickets to the Jazz game. Lorena watched the kids for us, Thank You Lorena!!! It was a good game. There were a couple of times we thought... "Jazz What Are You Doing?" because they did some pretty silly things. Dieter and Colleen went to, they were in one of the suite's. Dieter called Nick and said that they could see us so we better behave. LOL! Also one of Melissa's really good friends, Liz, was there. They were texting each other, and we were able to spot them, but we aren't sure if they ever did find us because Melissa's phone died. We tried to "race" over to where they were at, but by the time we got over there we had missed them. Sorry Liz, we were trying to come say HI! :) So thank you for the tickets. We had a great night!

Yes, Already!

So can you believe it... I have already changed our layout!!! Amazing huh?! :)

Oh Man!!!

Well, The Cardinals lost! It's so sad. It was a good game though! Congrats Steelers!
