Sourdough Pizza - Individual Pizzas

 We love making our own pizzas, and I wanted to use some sourdough starter. So, here is a recipe for Sourdough Pizza Dough

Sourdough Pizza

  • 1/2 Cup Sourdough Starter
  • 1 Cup Warm Water (about 110°)
  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Your Favorite Pizza Sauce and Toppings

Put the sourdough starter in a bowl.  Add the water and mix until starter is dissolved.  Add in the salt and flour.  Mix until well blended.  Let sit for 2-4 hours, or until doubled in size.  Divide into smaller amounts and shape into balls.  We can usually divide it into 8 pieces. Roll out (or use your hands) into desired thickness and size.  Place dough on a rack on a cookie sheet and cook for 5 minutes so the dough is precooked.  Pull out and add sauce, cheese, and toppings.  Cook for 10-15 minutes, until cheese and toppings are the desired brown and crispyness.  Cut and enjoy!
If you cook in an air fryer, precook the dough for 2-3 minutes and cook with toppings for 3 minutes.
