Fall / Autumn Nails

 Today is September 1st. Can you believe it? I can’t. This summer feels like it just flew by…

But… since today is September, I decided my nails needed to be painted for fall/autumn. So I just painted them.

I did a dark red on my thumb and middle fingers, a yellowish orange on my pointer and ring fingers, and then an olive green on my pinky. I painted lines with the dark red and yellow on my pinky with this Nail Tool. Put a fun golden sparkle on my ring fingers. Then put three light green jewels on my thumb. For the top coat I painted my pointer and middle fingers with a matte and the rest with the normal glossy coat.

I really like them.

Here is our Pink Chicken Coop that we did ourselves. We built it in 2019. Nick built it and the kids and I painted it. He came up with the plans, after showing him some I liked, and built it. Then Brichette painted the Sunflower 🌻 and bee 🐝 on it for me. It wasn’t very hard to build and didn’t cost much. I love it so much!  We added party lights and pink lights for the night. 🤩

Popcorn

Today is National Popcorn Day (along with National Tin Can Day and Get to Know Your Customer’s Day). We love popcorn! 🍿 We eat it all the time.  We like to make our own, but also like the white cheddar Smatfood popcorn, kettle corn, caramel popcorn, from the movie theater, and even some gas stations. Today I made caramel popcorn. I got the recipe from Nick’s mom. You can find the recipe  Here Xander got this popcorn maker as a white elephant gift. This is the white cheddar popcorn we like. Did you know… Popcorn is over 5,000 years old. World War II’s sugar shortage led to Americans to eat 3x more popcorn. It’s gluten free Nebraska produces more popcorn than any other state. Unpopped kernels are called Old Maids Americans eat 17 Billion quarts every year. It’s the state snack of Illinois. What are your favorite flavors of popcorn?

Brichette's Bridals

  I love to take photos.  It is so enjoyable for me.  I took Brichette's Bridals for her wedding.  We went to a church downtown because they have a huge garden area with a stream running through it. I know I'm not the best photographer, but I do enjoy it. :) Brichette painted her shoes herself! She did an amazing job (like she always does)!
