A Great Space

We bought our home in December of 2011. We have done a lot of changes to it.
One thing I’m really excited about is our deck. Last year we moved the back door that goes outside, from the family room to the kitchen. Nick built an amazing deck, which we all love so much! We can watch fireworks, have parties, sit and relax, watch the kids play in the pool, eat our meals, soak up the fresh air and nature, and so many more things! It so wonderful!

This is what the back of the house used to look like.  We had a little tiny cement pad, and one of the previous owners laid bricks down to make the patio bigger.  The back door was in the family room and there was a large bay window in the kitchen.

This is where the door was and we closed it off and put a window in so we can still have lots of light in the family room.

This is what it looks like now.  We like it so much better.  It makes our family room feel bigger, since we don't have to try and keep a pathway clear for the doorway.  It doesn't effect much in the kitchen, and it feels like it was always supposed to be this way.

We added the slide from the playhouse to the deck, which the kids absolutely love!

We use the railing to dry towels and swim suits.
We also have a few pots on the deck with herbs and flowers growing in them.

We put lights on it, which is so fun at night.

This year we added misters and a fan.  Also, the moon candle holder we've had for awhile, but just barely hung it up.
We used Trex decking so it’s easy to clean, doesn’t need to be stained and is really nice!
Xander is using the pressure sprayer to clean it.

This is the moon candle holder that we’ve had for awhile. We hung it up by the fan.

I really like everything about it!
