Best Friend

June 8th was World Best Friend Day.

It’s no surprise that Nicolas is mine…

We have been through so much together and are so close because of it! 💕

He knows how to make me laugh. 😂

He holds me so tight when I’m sad or upset. 😢

He is my person! 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻

He’s the first person I tell things to. 🗣

When he’s at work, I miss him so much and can’t wait for him to be home. 🏡 

There isn’t anything about me he doesn’t know. 💭 

He is my soul mate! 🫂

He is my traveling companion! 🗺 

He makes me so happy. 🥰

He truly does complete me. ♾

Here is our Pink Chicken Coop that we did ourselves. We built it in 2019. Nick built it and the kids and I painted it. He came up with the plans, after showing him some I liked, and built it. Then Brichette painted the Sunflower 🌻 and bee 🐝 on it for me. It wasn’t very hard to build and didn’t cost much. I love it so much!  We added party lights and pink lights for the night. 🤩

Today is National Popcorn Day (along with National Tin Can Day and Get to Know Your Customer’s Day). We love popcorn! 🍿 We eat it all the time.  We like to make our own, but also like the white cheddar Smatfood popcorn, kettle corn, caramel popcorn, from the movie theater, and even some gas stations. Today I made caramel popcorn. I got the recipe from Nick’s mom. You can find the recipe  Here Xander got this popcorn maker as a white elephant gift. This is the white cheddar popcorn we like. Did you know… Popcorn is over 5,000 years old. World War II’s sugar shortage led to Americans to eat 3x more popcorn. It’s gluten free Nebraska produces more popcorn than any other state. Unpopped kernels are called Old Maids Americans eat 17 Billion quarts every year. It’s the state snack of Illinois. What are your favorite flavors of popcorn?
