Firepit Patio

In May/June of 2018 for my Birthday and Mother's day Nick made a firepit patio.  It is so wonderful and we love it so much.

For the patio part:

We leveled the ground and added some dirt where we needed it.  Nick made a frame with wood, and added metal where we needed it to hold the dirt in.  Then we laid bricks down that we got on sale at Lowe's.

For the Firepit:

We used castle stones to build the firepit.  We laid them right on the bricks that we used to make the patio.  We just kept stacking them until we got them to the height that we wanted.  Then we added lava rocks to the bottom of it.

Nick made some holders for our tiki torches.  He used trex to create the boxes, then put metal on the bottom.  He screwed some pvc pipe to the bottom.  Then we filled them in with dirt and planted flowers in them.

We have had so many fun nights of marshmallow roasting, s'mores making, hot dog roasting...  This is one of the best birthday/mother's day presents.

Here are some pictures...

These are from the first night it was done:

Here are some more from lots of fun nights:
