She's Really Six?
We had a birthday party for Brichette a couple weeks ago and invited family and friends. So we usually do something just the four of us on their actual birthday. Nick got off early and we took them to lunch and bowling. The bowling place that we went to is where my Aunt JoElla has her bowling league, and she was there. The kids were so excited to see her, and kept trying to get her attention the whole time we were there. We all got our shoes, but they didn't have a size small enough for Xander. The lady said he could do it in his socks, but Xander wanted shoes like the rest of us. So he got some, but they were 2 sizes to big, so he walked like he had clown feet on. It was really cute. The first game Nick and I did okay, and the kids too. They were using a 6 lb. ball, but for the second game we decided to get them a heavier ball, since they were using the ramp, and the 6 lb. ball wasn't knocking over the pins very well. We also had the bumpers up, but I used them more then they did. On the second game Nick killed... he got 4 strikes in a row, and the kids beat me. I only got an 84, and they were in the mid 100's. I took a picture of our scores, I will include them in the slide. We needed to come home and give Athena (my cousin's daughter) a nap, but after she woke up we went to the Theatre and bought tickets to see Ink Heart for Nick's birthday, and then we went to dinner at IHOP. Our waiter heard that it was her birthday, and bought her a TY beanie baby (just a little one on a key chain). We told him that Xander got one, and needed to be added to our bill, but he said that's okay and paid for his too.
It was a great day, and I know that the kids had fun too.
