New Garden

 When we bought our house in winter of 2011 we didn’t know how many plants there were. We looked at it in late Spring, but because the guy who owned it wasn’t watering, there wasn’t really any flowers. There was just flower beds and not much else. The one around the light pole was pretty empty. As time went on we added more and more flowers, but the grass also kept invading the space. We tried ground cover plants, sprays that would kill the grass but not flowers, dig around the flowers and get the grass, lots and lots of mulch, and still the grass would grow and spread. So this fall we dug everything out, made it bigger, layed down black fabric, put a bunch of mulch down, and added a pond. We love it so much!

We got fish, but it’s hard to see them.

I planted a whole bunch of seeds that need the winter to prep and start growing in the spring.

We are so excited for spring and see all the flowers and see how well everything is!
