Mom... Dad... Can We Keep Her???

Yesterday Brichette's school had a veggie art contest, so Tuesday night we put together an animal. We were going to do a whale, but this worked out so much better. She was also talking about taking a pumpkin, but she liked this better. Can you tell what it is?

We used a cucumber for the body; Carrots for the legs, feet, and beak; Whole cloves for the eyes; and the leaves from the Carrots for the wings.

She was so happy about it and excited that she couldn't wait to get to school and show everyone.

She kept asking us if we could keep her forever. We told her that she couldn't because it was made out of vegetables, and would only last a couple days, before it started to wilt and spoil.
