You Aren't Old Enough To Drive!

The other day I got home and called Nick so he could come move his car so I could pull into the garage. Xander came out with him, and then Brichette. He backed out of the drive way and when I looked over I saw this. Xander had "backed" the car out, with the help of Nick. He was so excited and so happy that Daddy let him "drive". Then he pulled it back in the driveway and I caught this big grin on his face. Brichette was a little upset because she didn't get to "drive" the car, but Nick told her that she could next time.
We got this car from our doctor (he just gave it to us... he is so nice) at hit has the automatic seat belts... so when you close the door it "closes" against you and when you open the door it "opens" back up so you can get out. Well Brichette couldn't get the door open and so she was a little stuck. See the picture:

You could hear her yell: "Help I'm stuck. The car won't let me out." I couldn't help but laugh, as I was walking over to her door to let her out. She saw me laughing, and laughed herself. She is so silly!

Here is our Pink Chicken Coop that we did ourselves. We built it in 2019. Nick built it and the kids and I painted it. He came up with the plans, after showing him some I liked, and built it. Then Brichette painted the Sunflower 🌻 and bee 🐝 on it for me. It wasn’t very hard to build and didn’t cost much. I love it so much!  We added party lights and pink lights for the night. 🤩

Popcorn

Today is National Popcorn Day (along with National Tin Can Day and Get to Know Your Customer’s Day). We love popcorn! 🍿 We eat it all the time.  We like to make our own, but also like the white cheddar Smatfood popcorn, kettle corn, caramel popcorn, from the movie theater, and even some gas stations. Today I made caramel popcorn. I got the recipe from Nick’s mom. You can find the recipe  Here Xander got this popcorn maker as a white elephant gift. This is the white cheddar popcorn we like. Did you know… Popcorn is over 5,000 years old. World War II’s sugar shortage led to Americans to eat 3x more popcorn. It’s gluten free Nebraska produces more popcorn than any other state. Unpopped kernels are called Old Maids Americans eat 17 Billion quarts every year. It’s the state snack of Illinois. What are your favorite flavors of popcorn?
